Clean Shotgun Shells Before Season
Why Clean Shotgun Shells Before Season
Moisture, humidity, and time cause corrosion on the brass of shotgun shells. When that builds up, shells can stick, fail to chamber, or not eject properly. Cleaning before season gets them back to a condition you can trust.
What You Need
0000 steel wool
Light oil
Drill + RUSTDEEZ™ socket
How To Clean Shotgun Shells
Insert the shell straight into the socket until fully seated. Apply a small amount of oil to the brass. Use light pressure with the steel wool while the drill spins the shell. Let it run for 5 to 10 seconds. Stop. Wipe clean. Check the brass.
You are not chasing perfection. You are removing corrosion and restoring the brass to a smooth surface. If it looks clean and feels smooth, it’s ready.
Why It Matters
Corroded brass causes problems. Polished brass runs. It chambers easier. It extracts easier. When the moment comes, your ammo runs.
You already paid for those shells. Bring them back.
